Mission

The Finance and Investment Society of San Diego State University is a professional student organization, which provides an opportunity for all majors to develop their professional competency.  Our mission is to build a strong and growing relationship between the business community of San Diego and the members of the Finance and Investment Society. We provide a professional environment which introduces its members to various career opportunities within the finance industry; providing them the means of establishing a network of business contacts. Our organization incorporates four main areas of emphasis including professional development, social interaction, campus involvement, and a strong presence in the community. These areas are included into our program to strengthen business skills, as well as for personal enrichment.

Vision

Our vision is to provide students who have an interest in finance and investment the opportunity to be introduced to various career opportunities by inviting key note speakers from the San Diego business community to share their educational background, experience in the field, and valuable advice for students who will soon enter the workforce. In addition to weekly meetings presenting a guest speaker, we organize community service and social events to give the members of the society a chance to give back to the community and grow stronger bonds with fellow peers. Upon graduation, we hope every student that actively participates in the Finance and Investment Society will take their experiences with them and someday return as a speaker to continue inspiring young minds.
